For those not in attendance, we announced our newly constituted Board of Governors andCommittee Chairs. Everyone interested in participating on a committee can contact me or the Chairs, which will be posted on theMembers Only section of the website.
One of the 1st items resolved by the Board was the BeaconRules & Regulations. Everyone should become familiar with them and let us know if you need help meeting them. These also can be found in the Members Onlysection of the website.As many of you may know, the final regulations on ACOs(Medicare Shared Savings Program) were released last week. We have been digging in to the regs and are considering whether to apply. Information and other details are still forthcoming but so far we like the changes made from the proposed regs and see an opportunity here for Beacon.

Beacon IPA Partners with LIPIX
Beacon IPA has entered into an agreement with LIPIX (Long Island Patient Information Exchange) whereeligible participating providers can receive the following services: participate in group negotiated license costs for select EHRs; consultation regarding HIPAA privacy and security; assist with implementation, configuration and project coordination around designated EHRs; and provide consultative advice and tools to facilitate the achievement of Meaningful Use and receipt of payments from CMS.Space is running low so it is important that you enroll soon!

Beacon IPA Partners with PCDC
Beacon IPA has entered into an agreement with PCDC (Primary Care Development Corporation)to support our practices to achieveNCQA Recognition as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH).
PCDC will conduct assessments, develop project plans, provide technical assistance and review all documentation for submission. Any interested providers or practices can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Beacon IPA Partners with Yankee Alliance
Beacon IPA has entered into an agreement with Yankee Alliance to allow all of our participating providers to take advantage of discounted supplies and services.
Yankee Alliance is a national Group Purchasing Organization, focusing on healthcare providers to reduce supply and operating expenses.
